RPL - CHCDFV012 Make Safety Plans with people who have been subjected to domestic and family violence

What is RPL?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment only process to review your prior non-accredited training and on the job experience in order to award a statement of attainment for a unit of competence on the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).

If you already have the unit of competence then you are eligible for credits in a process called Recognition of Current Competence (RCC) 

What evidence is required?

For the CHCDFV012 – Make safety plans with people who have been subjected to domestic and family violence unit you must be able to demonstrate the following for full Recognition of Prior Learning. 

Help clients to Risk Assess

Using a strengths based empowerment approach assist clients who have been subjected to family violence to assess their risk for the future. 

Safety Plan with Clients

Work with clients to develop a plan to improve their safety based on the risks identified with them. Document and provide their plan to the client. 

Review Safety Plans

Work with clients to review their safety plan and identify with them ways to improve their safety if risks change or their previous plan was ineffective.

Are you an RTO ?

No. Mediation Institute is a specialist provider of mediation and interpersonal skills training with a focus on the community services sector. 

Our staff are qualified trainers and assessors under the standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 / AQTF. 

Vocational training and assessment is provided through our partnership with the RTO Inspiritive. 

You will be applying for RPL through Inspiritive with Mediation Institute staff assisting you with the process.

Is it Recognised ?

Yes. If you can provide evidence of your competence a Statement of Attainment will be issued by our Registered Training Organisation partner Inspiritive. 

The statement of attainment will give you a 1 unit credit for the unit and must be recognised by any other Registered Training Organisation. They can not charge you fees for a unit of competence you already have. 

This unit is in the following qualifications.  CHC82015 – Graduate Certificate of Client Assessment and Case Management, CHC81215 – Graduate Certificate in Statutory Child Protection and CHC81015 – Graduate Certificate of Relationship Counselling
