Family Violence research helps to provide a bigger picture view of the lived experience and workplace knowledge of family violence.
Abuse within family homes and among family members continues to be a significant issue in Australia, one that many people are working in many ways to prevent and reduce. Despite the focus and money spent on overcoming the problem of people abusing other people, it continues to have a major negative effect on our community’s wellbeing, health and happiness.

A life course approach to determining the prevalence and impact of sexual violence in Australia: Findings from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health
Australian research into sexual violence against women. The research led by the University of Newcastle assessed the prevalence of sexual violence over a lifetime and the impacts of experiencing sexual violence on the economic, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of Australian women.
