We would like to extend a special welcome to our NMAS Mediator Course to our first International Scholarship Student, Ms Suyheang Kry from Phenom Phen in Cambodia.
Suyhean is the executive director of the Women Peace Makers Organisation (WPM) and already has a background in peace building and mediation.
Why the scholarship was granted.
Suyheang is a strong leader and change maker who sees a problem and seeks to make changes to eliminate it. One of the problems she is seeking to overcome is the abuse of power that is permitted in poorly trained and uninformed local conciliation services in her country.
By providing an insider experience of our online delivery model for dispute resolution training and the NMAS Accreditation System we hope to provide a model and support for Suyheang, her organisation and others in Cambodia to upskill dispute resolution practitioners in her country.
